Understanding the PTE exam format

PTE is an integrated test, so one task can test more than one skill. For example, Read Aloud counts towards both Reading and Speaking.

What score do you need?

PTE Academic is scored from 10 to 90 for Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, plus an overall score. The scale is aligned with the CEFR framework.

Every university sets its own requirement, and many also ask for a minimum score in each skill.
